A Giant record

The San Jose Giants, a Single-A affilliate of the San Francisco Giants, clinched its fourth-straight division title Saturday when it captured the California League's first-half championship. The four consecutive titles is the most in league history.

Anyone good on that SJ team will never make it east of the Miss. River.

Well, except for Lincecum, most of the highly rated Giant prospects have come here and promptly proved there is a helluva difference between High A and Double A. I wouldn't expect any more from this SJ group then their predecessors. In other words, they'll stink too.

But it will matter little because I expect Lawyer Bi Bella will find an out to skedaddle next year and leave Dodd dark (no pun intended on the field lighting issues).
