The night the lights went out in Norwich

Just when you thought it was safe to come back to the ballpark, the lighting bacnks in left and center fields, as well as one of the banks over teh first base seats.

You might recall there were lighting issues earlier in the season. Toss in one working computer at the box office and unfinished bathrooms, and Dodd Stadium is starting to resemble a money pit. Now if the seats only fell apart when sat in and the fun would really begin.

How embarrassing!! Just when they do some good stuff in the community and have some good giveaways, then stupid stuff like this happens. It is like they can't get out of their own way. No wonder front office staff is leaving and fans don't come.

Other then the computers, the other issues are the cities responsibility. Someday I would like to know what the problems are between the baseball team and the city that cause this friction. I've heard previously that they go back to the Yankees tenancy. But, I would think the lease is written such, that when all is said and done, the city ends up with a positive cash flow at the end of it's fiscal period. So why are they messing with an income producing asset?

I'm curious, are the lighting issues enough for the EL to step in and say fix it or find another facility? Aren't there stadium standards to be met for AA league play to go on?
