Bump earns nod

Defenders starter Nate Bump was named the Eastern League's Pitcher of the Week today. Bump was untouched over 12 1/3 innings last week, earning a 2-0 mark. It has been a season of regular improvement for Bump, who spent the past two seasons out of baseball. He is 4-3 with a 3.06 ERA. Bump's success is a big reason Connecticut has pulled itself to a .500 record (won 8 of last 9 games).

Joe,
I asked Greg the same thing, as I am just trying to find out what is going on, but have you heard of the big front office happenings over the past week? Looks like Justine (new Box Office Manager) and Andy (Sales guy) have abruptly quit. I guess the Andy story is pretty crazy. Not sure exactly what is going on in that front office, but lots of people have left this year.

I admit to being a bit miffed when the Giants assigned Nate here, mostly because I wasn't aware of the difficult road he has traveled. But this has turned into a nice story and I hope it continues. I'm rooting for him to get back into the majors.

Joe,

What the heck is happening over on Stott Ave. Have we in fact lost another Box Office Manager in addition to Andy Pappas? Sure smells like the beginning of the end.
