Because it's more fun

to have to face rehabbing big leaguers, the Defenders get some more over the next week. They've already faced Chris Duffy and Moises Alou, now they go up against Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez, one of my favorites, and then next week Big Papi David Ortiz.

I got a feeling Little Papi Pablo Sandoval is going to rough up El Duque.

I sort of was. I really expected the home run earlier than it came and off of El Duque. But hey, if the current lead holds up and Trenton doesn't collapse against Portland, the gap shrinks to four games.

There's a whole stream of thought on that topic, but I'll save myself from premature ramblings. If the Defenders can cut the lead by two games or more before Monday, I will bang on my keys about it.
