Alou playing for Mets

Two weeks ago Felipe Alou was here for the Giants, today his son, Moises, is in the lineup on a rehab start for the Mets. Don't expect too much from him: The Mets' Nick Evans was called up to New York and I expect Alou to join him there after the opener.

I'm really at a loss to rationalize Game 2 last night. I know Minor League ball is about player development, etc, etc, etc, but someone explain to me how player development worked last night sitting Rohlinger and playing Klink in game 2. Klink is long gone as a prospect or even a suspect. He hasn't hit at all this year. Sometimes playing to win has got to be a consideration.

And further on Game 2, Pablo is 21 years old. He couldn't have caught two 7 inning games? Witter has proved to be a lesser liability on first then behind the plate and another errant Witter throw lead to the games only run.

Bien's decision making has left me a bit confused more then once this year, but this Bingo series is important towards making the play-offs. Yes, none of the horses came thru in Game 2, but at this time of the year, I think Bien has got to give them the best chance to win possible and the Hell with equal playing time. Some of these guys have earned the right to rot on the bench.
