Memorable meeting

Getting to spend over a half hour with Felipe Alou yesterday was something I will not forget any time soon. The history and the knowledge of the game that he shared was exciting and I hope that if you only read the short amount in today's hard copy that you check out the full interview online.

Nice interview, but it really makes me feel as old as I am. In 1957 I was a student at Wilbraham Academy and we'd go see Springfield p[ay at Pynchon Park. That team was loaded with future Giants. Can't remember all of them but besides Felipe, Jose Pagan was there and I think, Tom Haller and Jim Ray Hart.
