No dice

Tonight the Defenders had planned on giving away Daisuke Matsuzaka bobble heads, but because of Major League Baseball's trademark and licensing agreement, the promotion had to be scrapped. In its place, the giveaway was a camouflage San Francisco Giants cap.

What's the difference between the two? The camo cap had the "SF" on it and the replica Giants cap on an earlier promo had the "NY" on it.

Because the Defenders are a Giants affiliate, they have the right to use the team logo and all emblems related to the Giants (NY Giants included). The former Yankee bobble heads fro last year were OK because the team had rights to the image and depiction of those players with the Defenders/Navigators. With Dice-K, they do not.
